$99 & $149 APRIL PASSES MAKE STEAMBOAT SPRINGALICIOUS

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO-March 6, 2009-With an extra half-hour of skiing and riding, incredible Colorado bluebird sunny days and hilariously events, spring is shining a whole lot brighter in Steamboat-Ski Town, U.S.A.® this April as the resort launches its new $99 Springalicious 3-Day Pass and $149 Springalicious 12-Day Pass.

"More than ever guests are looking for the best bang for their buck when it comes to vacation values; and we are constantly striving to find new ways to make Steamboat accessible to all winter enthusiasts." says Rob Perlman, vice president of sales and marketing for Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation. "The new Springalicious passes are an affordable way for guests to enjoy some of the best conditions in Colorado for as low as $12.50 per day, and be a part of the most unique springtime bash in the Rockies."

The resort unveiled two out-of-this-world spring passes, currently on sale, offering skiing and riding for as low as $12.50 a day. The Springalicious 3-Day Pass provides any three days in April for just $99; and, the Springalicious 12-Day Pass offers all 12 days in April for $149. The Steamboat Ski Area closes the 2008/09 season on Sunday, April 12th. The passes are non-transferable, non-refundable and valid only for the pass holder during April 2009. Springalicious Passes must be purchased online at least 48-hours in advance and photo and liability form required for all pass holders.

"Steamboat has always been known for its legendary Champagne Powder™ snow, perfectly placed trees and friendly western heritage. But people sometimes forget that nobody knows how to throw a party like the Boat," continued Perlman. "These innovative package and deals, with a variety of specials in April, allow guests to check their cares at the door and enjoy time with friends and family, without stressing about their wallets."

Steamboat also plans to put a spring in your step during Springalicious featuring a boatload of free music, special values and unique events like Cardboard Classic and the Splashdown Pond Skim. Live music is a constant staple of the "Music Capitol of the Rockies" and this April will be no exception. Two FREE concerts will rock the boat in April including Ryan Shaw on Saturday, April 4th; and a blow-out end-of-season show on Sunday, April 12th by Ozomatli.

The Cardboard Classic, Steamboat's traditional rite of spring, and the Splashdown Pond Skimming competition act as the cornerstone events for Springalicious. The Cardboard Classic celebrates its 29th year on Saturday, April 11th, featuring homemade cardboard crafts racing to a hysterical finish. Steamboat's bravest (and maybe craziest) skiers and riders will attempt to cross an ice-cold pond at the base of the mountain during the 2nd Splashdown Pond Skim on Sunday, April 12th.

Travel + Leisure Online says that great parties aren't restricted to tropical climates. The resort was featured as one of the World’s Craziest Party Towns in Travel + Leisure’s March 2009 online issue. The magazine says, "Serious skiing and serious partying sum up scenic laissez-faire Steamboat Springs, which is also hometown to 69 Winter Olympic athletes." Steamboat was among exotic locations such as Ibiza, SaòPaulo, Reykjavik, New Orleans, Punta del Esta and Koh Phangan.
