Mountain Events

Sunset Happy Hour

Join us for a beautiful sunset and view of the valley with signature cocktails and appetizers. $12 includes Gondola ride and $5 off food or beverage of your choice with ticket. This is a lively cocktail event with music for adults 21 and older. For information, call 970-871-5150. Upload between 5:00 – 8:00pm.

Season pass holders ride the gondola for free, so make sure to bring your pass.

Guided Gourmet Hike

The guided gourmet hike is informative and invigorating with gorgeous views. Each Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, lunch is served on the Oasis Sundeck and features a variety of entrees, salads and desserts. On Sunday, guests are treated to Brunch on the Mountain. Meets at 10:30am. $39, reservations recommended, call 970-879-0740. A Yampatika naturalist will accompany the Wednesday hike. Additional specialty hikes covering cooking, photography, food and wine pairing and art.

Steamboat Mountain Music Series

Freddy Jones Band, Friday, August 14th at 7pm

Friday nights are for live music in Steamboat. Enjoy free, outdoor concerts all summer long. Free concerts begin at 7pm on the Steamboat Stage in Gondola Square. Please leave pets at home.

Mountain Activities

Steamboat Scenic Gondola Rides

Take a ride up Mt. Werner and enjoy the views that can only be appreciated from Steamboat's own eight - passenger gondola. Enjoy panoramic views, wildflowers, or changing aspen as you hike or bike on one of our trails. Soak up the sun and scenery of the valley from the Oasis Sun Deck or a memorable Sunday Brunch on the Mountain. Scenic Gondola Rides run from 10:00am - 4:00pm with the last download by 4:30pm. Sundays will open at 9:30am.

Steamboat Bike Park

The Steamboat Bike Park has nearly 2,200 vertical feet of lift-served, gravity-fed, downhill flow trails. The park utilizes every inch of the natural topography ensuring a ride that highlights the best of the resort’s natural features, for all ability levels. Purchase tickets at the Summer Ticket Office or at the Steamboat Bike Shop. Tickets are valid all day, weather permitting.

Steamboat Bike Park Lessons and Camps

Join a class to learn how to navigate the Steamboat Bike Park downhill trails, maximize specially designed equipment and have fun on the mountain. Private and group classes are offered daily starting at the Steamboat Bike Shop in Gondola Square.

  • Bike Park 101: First time park riders
  • Bike Park Progression Session: Move you to next level
  • Gravity Girls: Friday evenings through August 28 are tailored for women.
  • Gravity Groms: Camps for 10- to 18-year-old downhill riders who are ready to tackle the Bike Park.

Coca-Cola Adventure Zone

Family fun in Gondola Square at the base of the ski area, offering activities for children of all ages. Slingshot Bungee Jump, East Face Climbing Wall, Children’s Mini-Bounce, Mechanical Bull, Mineral Mining, Ropes Course, WaterWalkerz. Open 11 - 5pm daily, Thursday and Friday until 7pm.

The Grand Spa

The Grand Spa, located lobby level at The Steamboat Grand, is open daily offering all of your favorite treatments. Call today to book your appointment to take care of those aches and pains: 970-871-5514.

Thunderhead Disc Golf Course

The free 19-hole course, located in the Thunderhead and Bashor areas on the mountain, has a mix of technical, wide-open and secluded baskets, resulting in a challenging and fun environment for disc golfers to sharpen their skills. Visit the Information Center in Gondola Square for course maps and directions.

Thunderhead Hiking Trail

A beautiful 3-mile trail between the top of the gondola and the base of the mountain through aspen and evergreen groves with scenic vistas. The vertical gain/loss is 2,180’.

Vista Nature Trail

This trail offers a self-guided interpretive hike, which is a one-mile loop and takes about 1 hour. The trail is at the top of the gondola and is relatively flat, has picnic tables and is great for families. The first half is also handicap accessible.

Mountain Dining

Haymaker Patio Grill

Open daily at the Haymaker Golf Course serving lunch from 11am - 3pm, happy hour 3 - 5:30pm and dinner. Specials: Tuesday – Boat Burger Night, Friday – All-you-can-eat Fish Fry, Saturday - Prime Rib. Also serving and al carte brunch with $5 Mimosas on Saturday and Sundays, 9:00am - 2:30pm.

Bear River Bar & Grill

Chef Dan Benjamin is preparing delicious lunch options at the Bear River Grill this summer; grilled Ahi fish tacos, burgers (beef and vegi), pulled pork sandwich, Greek sandwich, bratwurst, and hot dogs. Open 11:30am - 2:00pm Thursday - Sunday. Conveniently located at the base of the mountain.

Oasis Sundeck

The Oasis Sundeck is a retreat high above Steamboat, located at the top of the gondola. Deck is open 11am – 4pm daily; grill is open from 11:30am - 2:30pm. A gondola foot pass is required.

Korbel Sunday Brunch on the Mountain

Treat your family to a wonderful Sunday brunch and enjoy amazing views of the beautiful Yampa Valley. Brunch includes gondola ride, complimentary soft drinks and a glass of champagne or mimosa for our guests 21 and over. The Cabin

Visit the Cabin restaurant located in The Steamboat Grand Hotel serving dinner daily. The Cabin features a menu to suit everyone in the family, and happy hour is 4 - 6pm, Reservations appreciated 970-871-5550 or steamboat.com/dining.

Hazie's

A culinary delight with an incredible view, Hazie’s at the top of the gondola features seafood, wild game, steaks and light summer entrees. Join us at the bar for appetizers and cocktails. Reservations recommended for dinner. June 25 – Sept. 5, Thursday – Saturday nights.

Geano's Cafe Bar

Your best bet for a quick meal in the Base Area. Open daily from 8am - 4pm. Offering Pizza, calzones, subs, panini, salads, wraps, espresso drinks, breakfast sandwiches, soft-serve ice cream and milkshakes! Cool off in the shade at our red picnic tables before your next adventure.
