SUNSET HAPPY HOUR

Join us for a beautiful sunset and view of the valley with signature cocktails and appetizers. $12 includes Gondola ride and $5 off food or beverage of your choice with ticket. This is a lively cocktail event with music for adults 21 and older. For information, call 970-871-5150. Upload between 5:00 – 7:45 p.m. Season pass holders ride the gondola for free, so make sure to bring your pass. More Info

VALENTINE'S DAY TORCHLIGHT PARADE & FIREWORKS

On February 14 at 7:00pm, the Steamboat Snowsports School will treat folks to a spectacular on-snow parade down the mountain lit only by torches. In conjunction with the torchlight parade, a fireworks display will illuminate the sky providing a perfect ending to the evening.

VALENTINE’S DAY DINING

Make this Valentine’s Day memorable by treating your sweetheart to a scrumptious dinner at one of our mountain top restaurants; the evening will start with a gondola ride with a view of the valley below, then choose from one of our dining establishments; Hazie’s, Four Points, Ragnar’s or the Western BBQ. You can also take a starlit sleigh ride through the rolling hills of the Haymaker Nordic Center ending with a four course dinner. Or head to the Base Club in the Torian Plum Plaza after skiing and celebrate Valentine's Day with fondue by the fireplace; cheese fondue served with veggies and breads or chocolate fondue accompanied by fruits and sweets. THE SECRET OF BEING A BETTER SKIER: CONQUERING FEAR

The Burgess Creek Clothing Co. presents a free seminar by Rick Devos, former PSIA Examiner and former executive director of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports

STEAMBOAT COOL DUAL BIKE RACE

A one of a kind winter bike race under the lights down the slippery slopes of Mt. Werner. Riders will brave the cold and frozen snow in head to head battles. Racers carve their way around gates and over obstacles toward the finish line where the Cool Dual victors will be crowned. In addition to bragging rights win awesome prizes from Monster Energy, GoPro and Bud Light.

FOUR POINTS SNOWCAT DINNER A magical snowcat journey brings you to the ultimate mountaintop retreat, 9,716’ above sea level, for a five-course culinary experience rooted in the traditions and flavors of Northern Italy. Four Points is open for night dining Thursday - Sunday evenings.

RAGNAR'S SLEIGH RIDE DINNER When the sun sets, the adventure begins with a nighttime gondola ride to a snowcat-driven sleigh ride under the stars and across the mountain to a spectacular Scandinavian five-course dinner in this secluded mountain retreat. Open Friday - Sunday evenings and additional nights for the holidays. Open for lunch daily.

HAYMAKER SLEIGH RIDE DINNERS Dash through the snow as a pair of majestic draft horses pull your 20-person sleigh around the Yampa Valley's rolling hills. Then settle down to a delicious four-course dinner with all the trimmings.

HAZIE'S The evening begins with a nighttime gondola ride, with a spectacular view. Hazie’s features a three-course prix fixe menu. Drop-in bar seating is available, also open for lunch.

HAYMAKER NORDIC CENTER & CLUBHOUSE Experience over 10km of Cross Country (Classic and Skate) and 6km of Snowshoe trails, open daily 9:00am - 4:00pm. Cross country ski and snowshoe rentals are available onsite. Lessons are offered daily for Classic and Skate skiing. Haymaker Nordic Center is located east of town at @34855 US-40, Steamboat Springs, just a few minutes from the Ski Area Base. 

After your time on the trails, warm your toes by the fire in the Nordic Clubhouse, and enjoy a hearty lunch featuring house made soups and stews, healthy salads, Boat Burger and a variety of sandwiches. Weekly Specials: Tuesday - Boat Burger starting at $7, Friday – Fish Fry $10.95, daily- Ski Pass and Lunch for $30.

WOMEN'S SKI CAMPS

Two of Steamboat’s Olympians, Deb Armstrong and Ann Battelle, host Steamboat’s Women’s ski camps with certified experienced female coaches. Steamboat pros create a positive atmosphere that maximazes learning. Seminars include breakfast on day one, lunch at Hazie’s daily, a technical equipment session, First Tracks on day two & three (lower levels will have morning indoor sessions), and culminate with a social cocktail gathering at the end of day three.

THE ADULT SIGNATURE 5 GROUP LESSONS – AGES 16+

Mountain Activities

GUIDED GOURMET SNOWSHOE LUNCH Join a Steamboat Ambassador for an informative snowshoe tour followed by a gourmet lunch at Hazie’s restaurant. Tours depart from the Information Center at 10am; please arrive at the Information Center by 9:45am. The cost is $65.00 and includes everything. Appropriate footwear is required.

MOUNTAIN TOUR Take a mountain tour and discover finer points of the mountain, town and history of the valley. Intermediate and advanced skiers and riders are welcome. Show up at the “Mountain Tour” sign at the top of Vagabond Trail (top of the gondola). Tours start at 10:30am, last approximately 1½ hours and are free.

SKI WITH BILLY KIDD Join Steamboat’s Director of Skiing, Olympic Medalist and World Champion Billy Kidd, for free pointers and a run-down Heavenly Daze. Check the sign at the top of the gondola to see if Billy is skiing today. Join him in front of the Billy Kidd sign at the top of the Why Not trail at 1:00pm. For intermediate and advanced skiers and riders.

NELSON ON NELSON’S Nelson Carmichael, Olympic medalist and World Cup Champion, hosts a free mogul clinic on Nelson’s Run at 1pm on select Sundays. Check the grooming report to see if Nelson is skiing.

MOONLIT SNOWSHOE TOURS WITH DINNER AT HAZIE’S Friday and Saturday ~ Depart from the Information Center in Gondola Square at 5:30pm, upload the gondola at 6:00pm. The tour lasts about one-hour, ending at Hazie’s for dinner. $79/adults and $69/children ages 10 - 12 (min age is 10 yrs.) Reservations required 24 hrs in advance.

SNOWSHOE TOURS Offered daily. Steamboat Ambassadors provide guided snowshoe tours from the top of the gondola. Depart from the Information Center in Gondola Square at 1:00pm. Snowshoe rentals are available. Tour is free, but requires a ticket to ride the gondola.

GUIDED SKI NATURE TOURS Offered Tuesday and Thursday. Join a naturalist from Yampatika Educational Partnership at 1:30pm for an interpretive tour on the forest and mountain habitats. Meet at the top of Why Not trail. Great fun for the whole family (free with a lift ticket).

STEAMBOAT MOUNTAIN MASTERS Offered daily. For skiers 50+ who enjoy cruising the mountain together on blue and black groomed trails. The group is led by local guides and departs at 9am daily. Meet by the Billy Kidd Statue in Gondola Square.

NASTAR TRAINING COURSE The NASTAR dual race-training course is an excellent way to warm up for your race. Race in a 'pro race' format and challenge your friends! A digital display shows your time up to the hundredth of a second. NASTAR training course is open daily from 10:00am until 3:00pm for $1 per run.
