Acutonic plays recognizable covers infused with their distinct reggae-driven electro-rock effect. They consider their style as sound orchestration, and the effects of the electronic sounds give their dub beats an edge. Acutonic is influenced by Bob Marley, Sublime, Primus, Tool, The Black Seeds, Fat Freddy’s Drop, John Brown’s Body, Tribal Seeds, Toots and The Maytals, Lee “Scratch” Perry, and Mars Volta.

The Annual Cody’s Challenge, a randonee endurance ski race, will be held on Saturday, April 5th across the Steamboat Ski Area. Cody’s Challenge allows participants the unique opportunity to climb, traverse and descend a variety of trails across the mountain under their own power through the use of specialized bindings and skins. The Cody St. John Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in memory of Cody St. John, who was a professional patroller with the Steamboat Ski Area.
Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds

Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds is an eight-piece powerhouse that puts a modern spin on classic soul. The band is led by Arleigh Kincheloe, whose astoundingly powerful voice and sly demeanor make for a spellbinding presence onstage. The mighty force of The Dirty Birds,who masterfully lay down thundering grooves and soaring melodies. While each of the Birds are capable of lighting up the stage with jaw-dropping displays of musicianship, it’s clear they’re focused on delivering the band’s infectious music as a single entity. Simply put, the band’s live show is explosive.
All Bud Light Rocks the Boat Concerts are free and held on the Steamboat Stage in Gondola Square. Please no outside alcohol or dogs.
Fire & Pow Luau

Add a little Polynesian flare to your day and join the Fire & Pow Luau. Luau will feature scrumptious Polynesian lunch plates and specialty cocktails on the bear deck. Polynesian dancers and fire performers will perform on the steamboat stage starting at 3:00pm.
Toes on the Nose Surf Jam

Bust out your sunscreen and come show your surf style on the biggest wave in Steamboat! This event is geared towards individual style and smiles. Contestants are encouraged to slash, catch air and get barreled. The Surf Jam is a ski/ snowboard competition on a surf style obstacle course built out of snow. Judging will be based on style, individuality, and overall crowd response. Surf-style outfits are encouraged and all ages and abilities are welcome. Contestants will receive a free luau lunch and a free beer for those participants 21 and over thanks to Bud Light. Prizes include GoPro cameras, Red Bull skis, Ramp snowboards and Dragon goggles and shades.
Old Town Pickers

Bluegrass, newgrass, slam, smokin', or jamgrass; call it what you will. Ask any member of the Steamboat Springs, Colorado based string band, Old Town Pickers, and they'll tell you "We're just having fun and playing fast." Comprising four members, including Jay Roemer on guitar, Eric Baker on mandolin, Von Wilson on banjo, and Denton Turner on bass, all hailing from different states, the Pickers play that quintessential style that can easily be labeled "Rocky Mountain String Music."
34th Annual Cardboard Classic

Steamboat's traditional rite of spring returns for the 34th year! This wild and hilarious race features homemade cardboard crafts, constructed only from cardboard, glue, string, water based paint, duct tape and masking tape, racing down Stampede to a hysterical finish. The uniqueness and creativity of the race make it an event looked forward to each year.

MarchFourth Marching Band is a kaleidoscope of musical and visual energy. The show will take you on a journey from the swamps of Louisiana to the gypsy camps of eastern Europe to the African jungle by way of Brazil, echoing the deepest grooves of American funk, rock, and jazz then boiling it all together in cinematic fashion with high-stepping stilt-acrobatics and dazzling dancers.
7th Annual Splashdown Pond Skimming Competition

The Splashdown Pond Skimming Championships hits Steamboat once again for a 7th season on Closing Day - Sunday, April 13! Wrapping up another epic season at Steamboat, the Splashdown Pond Skimming Championships brings brave (and slightly crazy) skiers and riders in costume with a dream - of crossing the icy pond successfully!
Online registration is closed. Please stop by the Coca-Cola tent in gondola square from 9:30am-11:30am to register for the Pond Skim Splashdown. We have kept a limited number of spots open for onsite registration, so come early!
