What is Over the Hill Gang?
Steamboat's Over the Hill Gang has created a ski program that is the only one of it's kind in the country. Unlike any other ski area, Steamboat offers guided skiing for anyone over the age of 50 at no charge, daily, throughout the season from Dec. 9th 2012 through April 5th, 2013. Most other areas have limited program offerings, charge a fee to participate or are restricted to members only. The relaxed, friendly format offered at Steamboat is open to anyone, and you do not have to be a member of O.T.H.G. in order to participate.
Let our guides show you the best of Steamboat from a local's point of view! We'll take all the guesswork out of finding the best runs and snow as you enjoy skiing with a group of similar ability. Guided skiing allows you to enjoy the camaraderie of a group of people from diverse and interesting backgrounds as you get the most out of your day.
What Does It Cost?
This is a complimentary program for skiers ages 50 and over. Join our experienced, knowledgeable and personable guides for a day of skiing on primarily blue and groomed black terrain.
Do I Need Reservations?
No reservations are necessary for individuals! Just show up at the Billy Kidd Statue prior to 9:00am Sunday through Friday and meet our group. If you have a group of 10 or more, please call 970-871-5454 or email to let us know you are coming!
What Level Skier Should I Be?
You should be an intermediate skier or above, able to comfortably ski blue runs. The group size varies from one or two people to 8 or more. When there are enough people present to provide several groups of different ability, group leaders will be added. The pace is geared toward your abilities. Rest breaks for hot chocolate and mountain stops to enjoy the scenery or to perhaps hear a little local history are all part of the day.

Steamboat's Over the Hill Gang has 400 members and has been in existence since 1985. Steamboat's Over the Hill Gang has an informal connection to the O.T.H.G.International Organization, but is not an official member of the this Organization.
What Kind of People Join O.T.H.G?
Steamboat's O.T.H.G. members consist of locals, second homeowners and frequent Steamboat visitors. It maintains an active year-round program and contributes volunteer time and money to the Steamboat Springs community. Whether skiing, hiking, biking or social get-togethers, Steamboat's Over the Hill Gang is a unique organization and a valuable asset to our winter on-snow programs.
Over the Hill Gang groups from all over the country join our program throughout the season. No matter how old you are or where you are from, you'll share your enjoyment of skiing with people of similar interests.
