Description: |
Designed as a hands-on, interactive exchange of information, ideas, and experiences for meteorologists, the Steamboat Weather Summit has gained a national reputation over the years as one of the most productive, educational and enjoyable experiences in the industry, both for speakers and attendees.
Approximately twenty-five meteorologists attend this invitation-only conference, representing a majority of the Top-50 television markets in the United States and major television stations in Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom. The conference features daily seminars, story production and live remotes.
Steamboat provides the use of its resort based satellite uplink facility throughout the conference for live remotes or to feed videotape back to individual stations. The resort generally produces 80 to 100 live remotes during the course of the week. Additionally, several pre-produce feature packages dealing with speakers/topics are available to meteorologists to accent their weekly coverage or use at a later time back at their station.
