Expand on your kayak skills in a 3 hour program for all ability levels or rent a kayak and explore the Upper Colorado. Kayaking is an exciting way to explore Colorado's rivers.
Mountain Sports Kayak School On the river since 1980, the Learn to Kayak program is structured for those who have never kayaked before, or have tried kayaking a few times.
Dates and Hours Lessons are offered May 11 through September 11, 2016, beginning at 9:00am and 1:00pm Monday - Saturday and 1:00pm on Sunday. The Kayak School requests that participants arrive 5 to 10 minutes before class time. All participants must sign a liability waiver.
Location Located on US Hwy 40 between downtown area and the mountain. Look for the kayaks. Guests must provide own transportation to the kayak shop. Mountain Sports Kayak School will transport guests to the river.

AVA Kayak Tour Explore the Upper Colorado River in your own inflatable kayak. No experience required. A guide will accompany your group.
Your laid back trip will include plenty of time to swim, sunbathe, or just relax and enjoy the scenery. Visit historic mining cabins and get your heart racing with a leap from 'Jump Rock' into the river. You'll splash through a few moderate rapids as the river winds through the Gore Range and mountain ranchland. Perfect for families or anyone looking for a leisurely day on the river.
Minimum age for inflatable kayaks is 10 years. Deposit is required. Wear closed toe secure foot ware and weather appropriate clothing. Wetsuits and splash jackets are provided for all guided trips. Kayak Full Day Rental is also available (no guide).
Driving Directions Upper Colorado float trips meet at AVA's Kremmling Outpost, located at 1611 Eagle Avenue, Kremmling, CO.

Deposit is required. Meet at AVA's Kremmling Outpost, 1 hour drive from Steamboat Springs. Wear closed toe secure foot ware and weather appropriate clothing.
