About
This is a fun, informative and invigorating hike with gorgeous views high up on Mt. Werner. Guided by a Steamboat Ambassador, the hike begins at the top of the Gondola then proceeds along the Vista Nature Trail, stopping along the way for pictures and interesting talks about the mountain and the community.
The hike is offered Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Guests need to make reservations 24 hours in advance.
On the day of the hike guests will meet at the Information Center at 10:30am.
Lunch will be served at approximately 12:00pm and you will return around 1:45-2pm.
Note: This hike is not recommended for anyone under 10 years of age.
Menu & Lunch
Around 12:00pm, you'll enjoy lunch at Thunderhead on the 3rd floor deck overlooking the Yampa Valley. Lunch consists of several entrees, salads and desserts, along with wine and soft drinks. On Sundays guests will enjoy the fantastic Brunch at Hazie's after their hike.
Meeting Location
On the day of their hike, guests should meet their guide at the Information Center at 10:30am
Dates
The Guided Gourmet Hike is offered Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays June 26th through September 1st, 2013. On Friday, August 9th and Saturday, August 10th the Guided Gourmet Hike will be offered in conjunction with the Steamboat Wine Festival at $65/person over 21 years.
Gondola Dates and Hours
The Gondola operates Monday-Saturday from 10am-4pm, and Sundays from 9:30am – 4:00pm, with last down load at 4:30pm.

Free Ambassador Mountain Hiking Tour
About
Our friendly Ambassador staff offers a Fun Mountain Hiking Tour for intermediate and advanced hikers. The tours are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting June 26th through August 16th, leaving from the Information Center at 10:30am. Learn everything you want to know about the forest, the resort, the Yampa Valley and its history. A Yampatika Naturalist will accompany the Tuesday Hike. The tour is free, but a Gondola ticket is required.
Stop by the Information Center to sign up or call 970-871-5444 to reserve your spot.
