Ikon Pass FAQ
As a part of the Ikon Pass, Steamboat specific passes no longer exist. To have unlimited skiing and riding at Steamboat, the Ikon Pass is your best bet. You don’t have to ski the other 25 locations, but if you decide to take a trip elsewhere you’ll have the access you need to play at a different resort.
The Ikon and Ikon Base will replace previous Steamboat passes including the Steamboat 8 and 15 Pass. Ikon includes unlimited access to 12 resorts and seven days at an additional 10 resorts, while the Ikon Base provides unlimited access to 8 resorts, and restricted/limited days to 14 additional resorts.
With the Ikon Pass, there is no longer a Kids Ski Free season pass option. The price of the Adult Ikon and Child Ikon before April 9 costs less than the original Kids Ski Free.

Steamboat’s 2017/18 Season Pass early season was $1149 plus Kids Ski Free Ikon Pass Adult + Child (before April 9) = $1098

Additionally, the Ikon Pass offers much more access with 22 partner resorts including unlimited skiing and riding at Steamboat, Winter Park, Mammoth, Squaw/Alpine, Stratton, Tremblant, Big Bear, Snow Summit, Blue Mountain, June Mountain, Copper Mountain and Eldora, plus seven days at Jackson Hole, Killington, Snowbird, Alta, Deer Valley and more.

Please note that Kids Ski/Rent Free on Steamboat specific multi-day tickets will still be available under the same guidelines.
Yes, you will still receive discounts at Steamboat Ski Resort including Friends & Family vouchers (8 for Ikon, 5 for Ikon base) for 25% off window prices. The Ikon Pass also includes discounts on retail, food and beverage, lessons, and Grand lodging.

As a standalone resort, Steamboat was able to offer monthly payments for a season pass. With 26 partner resorts the down payment program is not available on the Ikon Pass. Passes will need to be purchased in full.
The resorts included in the Ikon Pass have decided not to offer Senior Passes and include all adults from age 18 and up on the Adult Ikon Pass and Adult Ikon Base. Adult Ikon Passes include unlimited access to Steamboat and 25 additional resorts for $899. Please keep in mind that Aspen is not an Alterra Mountain Company resort (the new parent company of Steamboat) and may offer additional products outside of the Ikon Pass.
