On-Mountain Operations Impacts: July 16 - 22, 2026
Fishhook Fire: Steamboat is actively monitoring the Fishhook Fire, burning south of the Resort's boundary. There is not a threat to the Resort at this time. A Complex Incident Response team is managing the fire. There are no Resort closures currently, but that may change as conditions evolve - updates will be posted to our website, Ikon App, and social media accounts. Please follow all posted signage and team member instruction.

Summer projects are underway and crews are working in several areas of the mountain. Here’s what to know for this week:
- Rustler’s Ridge Upper Rebuild: We are improving Upper Rustler’s Ridge throughout the summer; there will be intermittent reroutes – please approach equipment slowly and follow detour guidance.
- Water Ramp Build: A new water ramp and trampoline training facility is being built to provide a safe environment for athletes to develop aerial skills. The facility will be located at the bottom of the Park Smalley Freestyle Complex. Huckleberry Bike Trail will be closed during this project.
- Stockman Construction Impacts:Construction work on The Stockman will cause trail impacts throughout the summer.
- Right-O-Way is closed for the summer.
- Lower Zig Zaghas been reroutedonto the lower section of Lassoand changed to an uphill and downhilltrail to accommodate Right-O-Way traffic.Upper Lasso remains closed.
- Dirt Haul to Bashor Half Pipe: The dirt from the excavation for The Stockman foundation is being repurposed to expand the foundation of the Maverick’s Half Pipe in Bashor Bowl creating the following impacts:
- Bike Park Trails: Rustler’s (flaggers), Lickety Split (closed)
- Shortcut Road and Yoo Hoo Road: heavy truck traffic
