The Steamboat Ski Resort Employee Housing

The Ponds at Steamboat in Steamboat Springs, Colorado provides fully furnished economy apartments packed with amenities. Located on the Steamboat Springs city bus route and approximately 1.6 miles from the base of Steamboat Resort, The Ponds property consists of two ponds, extensive lawn areas, a basketball court, and easy access to the Yampa River and the Core Trail. Amenities include utilities, full kitchens with dinnerware, cookware, coffee maker, toaster, microwave and dishwasher, onsite laundry, and wireless internet.

2025/26 season rates

October 1, 2025 - September 30, 2026.

In the months of October-April we only rent to SSRC employees and all housing is shared housing. We do not allow entire room or entire apartment rentals. In the summer months of May-September rental units are available to both SSRC employees and to the general public. We are able to offer shared housing, entire room or entire apartment rentals to SSRC employees and entire apartment rentals to the general public May-September based on availability. We do not offer any shared housing options to the general public.

Housing at The Ponds during the winter is for SSRC employees only.

Premium Units (4 Person)

SSRC Employee Per Bed Rate: $590 per person.
These apartments will have 4 employees per apartment. We have very limited availability of these units. Pets are allowed in some of these units. These units have two twin beds per bedroom. The deposit for these apartments is $500 plus a $50 non-refundable administrative fee.

Economy Units (5 Person)

Employee Per Bed Rate – 3 person bedroom: $425 per person.
Employee Per Bed Rate – 2 person bedroom: $525 per person.
These apartments will have 5 employees per apartment. We will mix genders in the 2 person room upon request, but not in the 3 person room. Pets are allowed in some of these units. These units have two twin beds in the 2 person room and a twin size bunk bed and a twin bed in the three person room. The deposit for these apartments is $500 plus a $50 non-refundable administrative fee.

Economy Units (6 Person)

Employee Per Bed Rate: $385 per person.
These apartments will have 6 employees per apartment. No dogs or mixed genders are allowed in these apartments. These units have a twin size bunk bed and a twin bed in each bedroom. The deposit for these apartments is $500 plus a $50 non-refundable administrative fee.

One-Bedroom Apartment (2 Person)

Per Bed SSRC Employee Per Bed Rate: $850/month per person
Entire units are only available May-September. We have limited one-bedroom apartments. These apartments will have 2 employees per apartment in the winter season. These units have two twin beds in the bedroom. The deposit for the one bedroom apartment per bed rate is equal to one month’s rent plus a $50 non-refundable administrative fee.

Ponds Parking Fee

For the winter season of December through March, there is a $75 per month parking fee at The Ponds. Parking Permits are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. When we are out of parking permits no other vehicles will be allowed at The Ponds. Unpermitted vehicles will be ticketed.

Entire units are only available May-September. The two-bedroom apartments will have either two twin beds or a set of bunk beds and a twin bed in each bedroom. The deposit for a two-bedroom apartment is equal to one month’s rent plus a $200 non-refundable administrative fee.

Rates

In the summer season you must work for SSRC in the summer to continue to receive the employee rate. If you left your employment with SSRC in good standing in the winter season but do not work for SSRC in the summer season, you may stay in shared housing but will pay the general public rate.
