Bike Busters
Get your child rolling with Bike Busters, a fun, non-competitive and exciting weekly program for kids aged 8- 14 designed to improve biking skills and build confidence. Each session is from 10am-3pm and focuses on bike handling, safety, and technique, while exploring the resort’s beautiful trails. Perfect for young riders of all levels, this program combines learning with adventure, ensuring every child has a blast while becoming a more skilled and confident cyclist. Sessions are 10:00AM - 3:00PM.

Group Lesson – Intro to Downhill
New to lift-served mountain biking? Our Intro to Downhill Group Lesson is the perfect way to get rolling. This two-hour beginner lesson teaches the fundamentals—body position, braking, and basic bike park skills—while introducing you to the beginner-friendly trails at Steamboat Bike Park.

Offered daily at 10am and 1pm, for ages 8 and up, this lesson is designed to help riders of all skill levels feel confident and have fun on the mountain. Whether it’s your first time or your first time here, we’ll help you ride with confidence.

Private Lesson
Take your riding to the next level with a Private Lesson at Steamboat Bike Park. Whether you're just starting out or pushing advanced skills, our experienced coaches tailor each session to your goals, skill level, and pace.

Choose from a Half-Day (3 hours) or Full-Day (6 hours) experience, with the flexibility to focus on exactly what you want—from basic techniques to advanced line choice. Lessons are available daily at 9:30am and 1:00pm for half days, and 9:30am for full days.

Open to ages 8 and up, with up to four riders per session, private lessons are a great way for individuals, families, or small groups to build confidence and have fun together.

  • All lessons include instruction.
  • You must have a valid lift ticket and a mountain bike with at least front suspension, 24 - 27.5” wheels, and a functional brake on each wheel to participate in lessons. Downhill-specific frames with disc brakes are preferred.
  • Helmets are required and sold separate.
