Explore Steamboat in a whole new way with our Adventure Map — a family-friendly guide to adventure across the mountain. The Steamboat Adventure Map is designed for the whole family to explore together. Ski or ride to each designated location, collect a unique sticker, and work your way toward completing the entire map. Along the way, you’ll also find a few special stops that share fun facts about Steamboat’s wildlife, trail names, and ski history.

From curious first-timers to seasoned skiers, the Adventure Map turns every run into a chance to play, explore, and discover something new about Ski Town, U.S.A.®.

How It Works

1. Start your adventure.

Pick up your Adventure Map and sticker sheet at the Ticket Office or Ambassador Trailer in Steamboat Square — your official launch point into the quest.

2. Set out to explore the mountain.

Use your map to hunt for the 24 special signs posted around the resort. Each stop offers something unique to discover. With the help of U.S. Forest Service, Yampatika, and Trout Unlimited, some of the signs offer insights about the Yampa Valley's wildlife, fauna, and landscape.

3. Check in with your findings.

When you’re done exploring, return to the Ticket Office or Ambassador Trailer and let the team know which signs you tracked down.

4. Claim your victory stickers.

For every location you conquer, you’ll earn a matching sticker to place on the back of your printed map and track your progress.

5. Complete the whole collection.

Find all 24 signs and you’ll unlock a special 25th sticker — the official Certified Steamboat Adventurer badge — earned only by those who complete the entire quest.
