Tour Details

AVA offers full and half day trips daily for the 2026 summer season, May 23 - October 11. Full day tours start at 9:00am and Half day tours start at 9:00am or 1:00pm.

Wetsuits and splash jackets provided. Wear closed-toed, secure footwear and weather appropriate clothing.

Trip departs from AVA’s Kremmling Outpost, about 75 minutes from Steamboat Springs, where guests will check in and load an AVA vehicle for a 30-minute drive to the Colorado River. Full day trips include lunch.

Approximately 1 hour 15 minute drive from Steamboat. Follow US 40 East into Kremmling, Turn right onto 14th Street, Turn left onto Eagle Ave, AVA Outpost is on the left.
