    The Continental Divide Trail Run is part of the Steamboat Springs Running Series. There are three course that all start at the base of Steamboat Resort.

    For details and to pre-register visit runningseries.com. There is NO race day registration for this event.

    Race Courses:

    50K course: 6:00 am start with finish in Torian Plum cut-off at 3:00 pm

    Follow Zig Zag trail to where it ends at Creekside.

    Stay on Creekside only until Pioneer.

    Follow Pioneer to Rainbow Saddle. (AID STATION #1)

    Take the Chisolm/Storm Peak Challenge to the top of Mt Werner. (AID STATION #2)

    Follow the Mountain View trail to Fish Creek Falls trail.

    Turn right on Fish Creek to Long Lake. (AID STATION #3)

    Reverse course and return to Mt. Werner (AID STATION #4) via Fish Creek to Long Lake, Fish Creek Falls trail and Mountain View trail.

    Follow Pete’s Wicked Trail but then take Cathy’s Cutoff.

    Follow Cathy’s Cutoff to Sunshine

    Then Sunshine to Chisolm/Storm Peak Challenge and back to Rainbow Saddle (AID STATION #5)

    Take Elkhead Loop to Moonlight

    Follow Moonlight to Spur Run Road

    Take Spur Run Road only as far as Valley View

    Follow Valley View to where it ends on Yoo Hoo Road

    Take Yoo Hoo Road to Zig Zag

    Follow Zig Zag to the finish line on the Torian Plum Lawn (you will cross Burgess Creek about 50 meters before the finish line).

    Elevation gains and loss is roughly 5,500 feet, with the high point on the course at 10,420 ft. Most of this course is above 10,000ft. The total distance is roughly 31 miles.


    16 Mile Course: 8:00 am start with finish in Torian Plum cut-off at 3:00 pm

    The race will start on Zig Zag, next to Torian Plum Lawn.

    Follow Zig Zag trail to where it ends at Creekside.

    Stay on Creekside only until Pioneer.
