August 29, 2026 marks the 29th running of the Continental Divide Trail Run—one of Colorado’s premier mountain races. Beginning at the base of Steamboat Ski Resort, runners climb their way to the top of Mt. Werner and the Continental Divide, pushing through quad-burning ascents, winding aspen groves, fields of wildflowers, and sweeping alpine views that make every step worth it. The event features three distances—the 50K, 16-mile, and 5-mile—and is part of the beloved Steamboat Springs Running Series, which hosts 11 races throughout the season.
